Especially For Children - We Look Forward To Seeing You!
We want your child’s visit to the center to be as pleasant and reassuring as possible:
- Parents should plan to stay with their child before and immediately after surgery.
- You may bring your child’s favorite small toy or blanket.
- It is not a good idea to bring other siblings with you that day. Your child will need your undivided attention as they experience surgery.
- We have a program that allows parent participation in the operating room. In order to participate you need to attend a tour and class before your child's surgery. Please call 714-5563 to schedule this.
- You should not drive home alone with your child. Arrange for another adult to drive you home.
- Answer your child’s questions about surgery honestly. Our staff will be happy to assist you.
