Things to Remember - Endoscopy

  • If you have not been contacted, please call the Pre Admission Testing Center.
  • Arrange for transportation home.
  • Do not eat or drink anything after midnight on the night before surgery.
  • Do not bring valuables or money.
  • Remove nail polish and makeup.
  • Wear comfortable, easily removable clothing and low heels.
  • Arrive promptly at your scheduled time.
  • Do not drive, drink alcoholic beverages, operate machinery or make important decisions for at least 24 hours after your surgery.
  • Do not take any medications except those prescribed by your physician for at least 24 hours after your surgery.
